KING OF PAPARAZZIDANIEL ANGELI
Daniel Angeli, born the 3rd September 1943 in Paris, is a French Paparazzi, also know under the nickname 'King of Paparazzi' for his innumerable iconic pictures, often published and relayed in international medias.
It's at the age of fourteen that Daniel Angeli discovered photography in the laboratory of the Dalmas Agency in Paris. Fascinated by the celebrities he developed in the dark, he decides to go out and meet them. Case on the shoulder, he crosses icons such as John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Liz Taylor, Giovanni Agnelli, Presidents, Royal families... capturing some of the biggest and most plebiscite 'people' scandals in the world.
In 1967, he created the Angeli Agency and became a master in the art of so-called paparazzi photography. Sometimes posed, often stolen, capturing moments of which only immediacy guarantees the truth. That earned him a somewhat sulphurous reputation. Daniel Angeli has nevertheless been able to keep the essential ethics to the profession of journalist.
He defines himself as a witness of his time, the one where the stars really were.
In Saint-Tropez in the summer, in Gstaad in the winter, he goes to thirty-five Cannes festivals and rubs shoulders with the greats of this world, sometimes forming accomplice relationships with them.
In 1996, he met Johnny Hallyday on the slopes of Gstaad. Since then, Daniel Angeli has been a privileged witness to the course of the star's career for fifteen years, recording unique moments on his film that only a real complicity could authorize.
Today, his enthusiasm and passion still remain intact and give his photos, some of which have become legendary, an undeniable authenticity combined with great sincerity.
